The audition workshops
AUDITION WORKSHOP 1: Sunday 1 February 13:00-16:00
Audition Workshop 1 is a 3-hour group workshop led by our creative team. At the beginning of the audition workshop, you’ll meet the team, and they will talk you through what to expect.
You’ll participate in a warm-up and learn a song from the show. You’ll then perform this in groups. We’ll then look at your dancing skills with a short group dance. You don’t need to prepare any material, just come with a willingness to give everything a go! Please arrive 10-15
minutes in advance.
Everyone interested in participating in FROZEN, whether in character roles or the ensemble, MUST attend this workshop.
AUDITION WORKSHOP 2: Sunday 8 February 13:00-18:00
Audition Workshop 2 is when you’ll have the opportunity to perform on your own for character roles.
At the first audition workshop, you’ll be able to sign up for an individual audition time slot for this day.
Each audition time slot is 10 minutes long and will be between 13:00-18:00.
You’ll then need to arrive at this time to perform part of a song/s. You will need to prepare these yourself for any
roles you would like to be considered for. The selection of character songs will be given at the first workshop for you to work on and you’ll be performing with a backing track which we will provide.
You won’t need to attend an audition slot on this day if you’d like to join the production as part of the ensemble.
AUDITION WORKSHOP 3: Sunday 15 February 13:00-16:00
Audition Workshop 3 serves as our recall auditions, during which we may call some of you in to perform again, either individually or in small groups.
This is to help us make final casting decisions and ensure that our character groups have the right dynamic.
You will not need to attend Audition Workshop 3 if you wish to join the production as part of the ensemble.

About Disney's FROZEN
In the beautiful mountainous kingdom of Arendelle, Princesses Anna and Elsa grow up sheltered inside their castle, isolated from the world and increasingly distant from each other.
When Elsa is crowned queen, the magical powers she’s desperately tried to conceal from her sister take control, and she flees into the mountains. As a ferocious winter descends on Arendelle, Anna sets off on an epic journey to find Elsa and bring her home – with the help of hardworking ice harvester, Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, and a happy-go-lucky snowman named Olaf.
Full of magic, humour, and a stunning musical score, Frozen is a powerful tale of sisterhood, acceptance, and finding the real meaning of true love.
Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature film, Disney’s Frozen includes all the film’s beloved songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, along with new music written exclusively for the stage.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes in advance.
At the beginning of the audition workshop, you’ll meet the team, and they will talk you through what to expect.
Everyone has different levels of experience, and our audition workshops are designed to support that. Try not to get too caught up in ‘getting it right’ – our creative team are looking to see the effort you put in. We are not looking for perfection; we are looking for potential!
All three disciplines, singing, acting & performance, are taken equally into consideration when casting our shows, so give everything a really good go even if it’s something you’ve never tried before. Come forward, make sure you have space, and throw yourself into the session. The most important thing is commitment and enthusiasm.
We promise you’ll have fun!
Do I need to prepare anything?
No, you don’t have to prepare any material before the first Audition Workshop. Just come with a willingness to give everything a go, remember we are not looking for perfection, we are looking for potential!
The only thing to prepare is what to bring; please wear loose, comfortable clothing (NOT JEANS), trainers or jazz shoes, hair tied up, no jewellery and bring a bottle of water.
At the second & third audition workshops, you will need to prepare short audition pieces (songs) for any roles you would like to be considered for. More information on this will be given at the first Audition Workshop where you’ll also be able to sign-up for audition time slots.
You can begin preparing now by looking at the FROZEN Character List we have provided below..

I'm unable to attend the Audition Workshops?
Your chances of success are much greater if we see you perform at the audition workshop in person.
However, we’d still love to hear from you if you’re unable to attend an audition workshop due to a prior commitment.
If you can’t make one of our audition workshops then you’ll still need to register so we have your contact information. You’ll then need to email us a 1-2 minute video of you performing a song of your choice (anything from a musical is great!) along with any other videos
showcasing performance ability.
We’re a musical theatre company so we’re looking for ability or the potential to sing and act.
Please remember to let us know your full name, age and current school year (if applicable) too.
Don’t worry, if we encounter any difficulties when downloading your videos we’ll be in touch.
Videos can be sent to our Artistic Director, Oliver Brett Email: oliver.brett@coopjuniors.co.uk
