ABOUT US

The Co-op Juniors Theatre Company is one of the largest youth theatre groups in the UK. We work with young people from any and every background to produce vibrant, innovative and original theatre across east Suffolk’s top venues.

We’re excited to offer the opportunity to join our 2024 summer production of LES MISÉRABLES SCHOOL EDITION at the New Wolsey Theatre.

Our production opens the season at the New Wolsey, where we last performed five years ago. The professional show has been seen by more than 130 million people in 53 countries!

After our “dazzling” production of CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG last year at Snape Maltings Concert Hall (read review), we’re returning to Ipswich with Les Misérables, our biggest and most ambitious production to date. Our production will feature an original and huge set design, unique staging and more. Most importantly, you’ll be able to develop a multitude of performance skills as you rehearse and perform in one of the greatest shows in the world… a once in a life time experience!

AUDITION WORKSHOP

If you love performing as part of a cohesive team then joining our ensemble will be an unmissable experience. All our shows are ensemble led, providing many solo and character opportunities throughout the rehearsal process. You will join some of the most talented young people in Suffolk to create many of Les Misérables’ iconic ensemble character groups!

All you need to do is get in touch with us (oliver.brett@coopjuniors.co.uk) to register your interest. You’ll then need to attend a group vocal workshop with the rest of our cast on SUNDAY 3 MARCH 10am-1pm.
